BAUGRUNT™
Acrylic Priming Sealer & Strengthener
BAUGRUNT™ is a ready-to-use acrylic primer, designed to penetrate, seal, and strengthen mineral substrates - ideal for preparing surfaces before applying microcement, self-leveling screeds, or other thin-layer coatings.

Key Features
- Ready to use — no dilution required
- High penetration and consolidating action, strengthens weak or crumbly surfaces
- Reduces substrate absorbency, preventing premature drying of applied mortars
- Maintains vapor permeability, ensuring the substrate can breathe
- Colorless — does not affect finish aesthetics
- Easy application via roller or brush
Benefits of BAUGRUNT™
- Improves adhesion and prevents rapid absorption of water from applied mortars
- Consolidates weak substrates, reducing dusting and flaking
- Enhances smoothness and leveling of microcement or screed surfaces
- Preserves breathability, preventing trapped moisture
Applications
Priming concrete, cement screeds, gypsum, plaster, and other mineral surfaces before microcement (e.g., CREATIVO), thin-layer coatings, paints, and self-leveling mortars.
Recommended wherever substrate absorbency is high or surface strength is low.
Application Guide
-
Surface cleaning: Ensure the substrate is clean, free of dust, oils, and loose particles.
-
Apply primer: Use a roller or brush to spread evenly.
-
Coating strategy: Apply 2–3 coats, depending on substrate porosity. Typical consumption for:
-
2 coats: ~0.10–0.20 L/m²
-
3 coats: ~0.15–0.25 L/m²
-
-
Drying: Allow 3–6 hours flash-off between coats; fully dry before applying subsequent layers.
-
Proceed to next layer: Install microcement, self-leveling screed, paint, or coating after substrate is dry.
