BAUFLEX 35

One component poliurethane joint sealant

BAUFLEX 35 is a premixed, single-component polyurethane sealant, ideal for expansion, contraction, and construction joints in industrial floors. Suited for both internal and external use, it accommodates pedestrian or vehicle traffic and withstands mechanical stress, temperature changes, and UV exposure.

Intended Use

  • Fills control (saw-cut) joints and pour-break joints inconcrete industrial floors, including warehouses, production halls, public buildings, parking zones
  • Perfect for exposed outdoor surfaces and areas with thermal expansion movements

Key Features

  • One-component, ready-to-use – no mixing required
  • High elasticity – elongation up to 100%, elastic recovery ≥ 70%
  • Exceptional adhesion to concrete
  • High tear and aging resistanc– UV-stable polymer that retains elasticity and color
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor environments

Integration with Bautech Joint System

BAUFLEX 35 is designed to work within the Bautech joint system alongside BAUCORD backer rod and BAUFLEX Primer, ensuring optimal joint depth, adhesion, elasticity, and aging resistance for maximum performance and longevity.

Bautech Joint Sealant System

Application Guidelines

  1. Prepare the joint – widen to specified width/depth after minimum 28 days curing, clean thoroughly and chamfer edges

  2. Insert BAUCORD backer rod approx. 25% larger than joint width to control sealant depth

  3. Prime joint edges with BAUFLEX Primer; let become tacky (~60 min)

  4. Apply BAUFLEX 35 from cartridge, fill joint fully to surface level; tool the sealant flush

  5. Remove masking tape before sealant skins over

  6. Cure time – light traffic in ~24 h (≥ 15 °C), avoid water exposure for at least 8 h; full strength after 7 days

Packaging & Color

  • 600 ml cartridge ("sausage" tube) – for manual or pneumatic applicators

  • Standard color: Grey (also available in green)

Cleaning & Safety

  • Clean tools and spills immediately with acetone; cured sealant requires mechanical removal

  • Cured product is physiologically inert; uncured material may cause irritation or allergies - ensure good ventilation, use PPE, avoid skin contact. Rinse skin with acetone then soap; see TDS for safety instructions

Storage & Shelf Life

  • 6 months in original sealed packaging between +10 °C and +25 °C, protected from frost and direct sunlight
